Assessments Offered:
Functional Capacity Assessment
-
Alison provides Functional Assessments for neurodivergent adults living with co-occurring conditions, who would benefit from her extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of pain management, mental health and sensory processing.
This usually involves multiple appointments to understand your needs, your functional capacity and who you are as a person, including your goals. You might be required to complete questionnaires to provide more information for your FCA report.
-
Functional Capacity Reports are lengthy documents which outline your functional capacity across multiple domains of living (e.g. mobility, self-care, self-management).
Alison will assess your functional capacity over multiple appointments to gather the information required to write the report. There may be questionnaires to complete, and prompt access to previous reports/letters will ensure faster turn around. The aim is to have your assessment and report done within 6 weeks, wherever possible.
-
A shorter assessment might be a better option for you financially, though it won’t contain as much information as a typical FCA.
Please let me know if this is what you might need when making your enquiry.
-
This is hard to answer without knowing your co-occurring conditions, your needs, whether you have had assessments before and what might need to be recommended.
A ballpark might be 10-12 hours including assessment and report, at $193.99/hr.
Sensory Assessments (Health/Disability)
-
Alison has a passion for helping people to understand their unique sensory profile and how this impacts on their day-to-day functioning.
Alison uses a range of methods to gather information about your unique sensory profile. She uses the Sensory Matrix™ and Senses @ Work™ to generate a sensory profile that allows for understanding how an individual best thrives within their work and home environments.
-
One or more questionnaires may be used to get information about your sensory preferences and responses to your environment. This will often be coupled with a semi-structured interview to find out more about you and how you experience the world.
This includes vision, hearing, touch, taste, smell as well as proprioception, vestibular/balance and interoception.
